Michael Maidment, ICD.D is a transformational CEO, governance leader, and systems-change strategist with more than 25 years of experience leading major Canadian charitable organizations and advancing solutions to complex community challenges.

He currently serves as President and CEO of the Ottawa Community Foundation, where he oversees more than $300 million in charitable assets and helps mobilize philanthropy to strengthen communities across the National Capital Region. Previously, he served as CEO of the Ottawa Cancer Foundation and the Ottawa Food Bank, leading significant organizational transformations and innovative approaches to community impact.

An ICD.D-designated governance professional, Michael has served as a board chair, director, and governance leader across healthcare, philanthropy, and social services. His work has contributed to initiatives including Canada's National Strategy to Combat Human Trafficking and the City of Ottawa's first Poverty Reduction Strategy.
